Did anyone else feel like there were a few direct nods to fandom?  Like, not to canon, but very specific memes/ observations that we (as a community) have made over the past seventeen months.  Without spoiling anything, the one thing that immediately caught my attention was the milk.

So I wonder- does it speak to the quality and subtlety of the writing that so many people picked up on some subtext regarding Lestrade's marital status, or did fanon influence their decision to make a decisive statement about it?

Either way, I'm going to watch it again as soon as I'm done reading John's blog.

I think it's one big feedback loop. They're good and we're good and it's all good. And bits of it are brilliant.
